Internship at masharu studio (www.masharu.nl) and the Museum of Edible Earth (www.museumofedible.earth), Get in touch: studio@masharu.nl 0681833128 Possible tasks for internship: - Video and sound editing; - Assistance during photo and video shoots (studio and locations); - Build-up and build-down of art installations; - Graphic design; - Website maintenance and development; - Independent photography and video shooting; - Photo selection and editing; - Research assistance; - Writing proposals and project descriptions; - Communication with clients and project partners; - Social media management (facebook, instagram, twitter, tumblr); - Maintenance of the collection of the Museum of Edible Earth: physical and digital archives; - Maintenance of the PR archive. Locations: - Studio at Marius van Bouwdijk Bastiaansestraat 141, 1054 RV Amsterdam - Home office at Kleiburg, 1104EA Amsterdam - Other locations (depending on ongoing projects)
Naar wie zijn wij op zoek?
The following skills will be values, but are not the requirement: - Knowledge of Adobe Suite; - Experience in video/image editing; - Interest in art & design, latest trends in participatory art, cross-disciplinary art, design and science projects, inclusive environments; - Communications skills, transparency on working process and responsiveness; - Enthusiasm and ability to take initiative; - English proficiency – C1 or higher; - Detail-orientation; - Ability to be on time and meeting deadlines; - Work autonomy and ability to tuckle problems independently, such as for instance, finding solutions online. masharu identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns THEY/THEM. Our studio is an inclusive platform where gender is an individual choice. Therefore it is primordial to be familiar with this or eager to learn about it, and respect everyone’s gender identification and pronouns in different languages, including English, Dutch and Russian.
Wat biedt het bedrijf?
The interns of the masharu studio acquire knowledge and experience of the functioning of an international art studio based in the Netherlands but working with the entire world (Russia being one of our important work spaces). They get extensive knowledge about our network of collaborators (institutions, artists, designers, scientists and social workers), which offers great networking opportunities. Our studio provides a supportive, diverse and inclusive environment allowing interns to grow in a progressive set-up. Some of the former interns in masharu studio, are now engaged with the studio and the Museum of Edible Earth as freelancers.
